I’m sure you’ve figured it out by now, my name is Jenee Dutary. I’m an author working on getting my first book published. I’m super excited to share my publishing journey, which will include my real-time query stats as they roll in each week.
Ever since I first started querying literary agents in June 2023, I’ve learned so much about the traditional (big and small/press) industry, as well as indie publishing. More importantly, I’ve made many connections and founded some amazing relationships. The people we meet are imperative to surviving this SUBJECTIVE industry, and I would love to meet more people.

I’ll be sharing some of the wisdom I’ve gathered and the ups and downs of querying!
I’m currently on my second round of querying the same book (after it went through major revisions), so my stats are a bit skewed. For now, I currently have 24 queries out in the world and each week I’ll update how many more I submit and what my responses are! I’d love to answer any questions I can about the world of publishing through the eyes of a querying author.
