This has been a crazy week. A new achievement was unlocked Tuesday when my friend and I co-hosted the inaugural #unhingedpit event on Twitter (X). It was an idea we birthed to keep our spirits up, and apparently the people vibe with it as well. We hit the U.S. #5 trending spot on Twitter that morning. Multiple agents jumped in to participate, and one DM’d me to request my full manuscript. The next day someone else messaged me for an interview.
You know what the best part was? How much FUN everyone had. The two of us swapped posts of those who shared how much they enjoyed the event and how much it meant to them. People got agent likes, which even led to full requests. It still seems impossible that so many people were inspired and uplifted by something we organized. Neither of us ever expected it to be so successful.
My heart is full and happy, and we can’t wait to do it again.
